Sustainable and efficient energy

Geothermal energy uses the natural heat present under the earth's surface to provide a heating, cooling and hot water production solution. This renewable energy, both efficient and environmentally friendly, is perfectly suited to the needs of residences, businesses and industries.

At Marmott, we offer systems suitable for all projects and all types of floors: residential, commercial and industrial.

Learn about the three main types of geothermal systems and choose the solution that best meets your needs.

1.

Closed-loop systems: reliability and performance

Closed loop systems are the most common. They operate using a network of sealed pipes buried in the ground, in which a heat transfer fluid circulates that absorbs or rejects heat. A hermetic and sustainable solution.
More about the technical installation

Benefits

Completely closed, without exchange with ground water.

Low maintenance and exceptional durability.

Available Options
Vertical loop
Perfect for tight spaces, wells are drilled up to 700 feet into the ground.
Horizontal loop
Ideal for spacious lots where pipes can be buried shallowly.

2.

Permanent Column Well (PCW): the compact and durable solution

Permanent Column Well (PCW) is a system for tapping groundwater present on site. When bedrock is shallow with little or no surface deposits and on-site aquifers are not very productive, these systems are generally the best option in terms of performance, efficiency and installed costs.
Feasibility study
Installation Requirements
Requires in-depth geological and hydrogeological analysis.

Benefits

Very high thermal efficiency, limiting the number of geothermal exchangers.

Compact solution, ideal for large buildings with small plots of land.

3.

Open-loop systems: efficiency for favorable sites

Open-loop systems use a groundwater source, such as a well or aquifer, to extract and reject heat. This type of system is particularly effective in areas where groundwater is abundant and its temperature is stable throughout the year.
Types of drilling
Required conditions
Availability of sufficient water source.
Compliance with local regulations for water discharge.

Benefits

Very high thermal efficiency.

Less expensive installation if water is abundant and of good quality
